Tucker is Diane's loyal companion. He spends every day by her side offering unconditional love and trust. Diane has had Tucker since he was a puppy which has given them a deep bond. Tucker is now three years old. He is eager to learn and absorb as much information as possible

Tucker was trained at Canine Techniques for service retrieval. He is now better able to help Diane around the home. The simple task of picking something up that has dropped on the floor is difficult for Diane. Tucker now BRINGs Diane what she wants and needs.

I first met Diane and Tucker about two years ago when Tucker had developed an anxiety about going into the elevator in her home. This was a problem for Diane since she wanted to be able to take Tucker with her when she left the house.

"It ONLY took ONE session to get him in the elavator!!! You got him in and all we did was to do what you showed us. You are amazing! " - Diane

After only one session Tucker was willing to go into the elevator. Today he has a hard time understanding when he is not allowed to join Diane.

"I want you to know what you did for tucker and I is priceless! It is so nice to have him around to pick up stuff that I drop. He really seems to enjoy doing it! We are working twice a day on picking up the things you left. He basicly works all thru the day when I need him.

I am finding his over all behavior is much better since you had him. Even his barking at everything has toned down! Thankyou."

And Happy

"Mike was picked up as a stray with no history. Mike started as a really skittish dog that was not willing to give you any warning signs. It was a long time before he would even be in the same area as us. He would lay in his crate and give very low growls. At first we had to put his food and water in with a pole oppose to our hand. Once he was convinced we were not going to hurt him he started coming out. He would come to the gate but when we got close he would run away. After quite some time he started taking things from our hand and then we could pat him through the gate. One day I let him out with me and he was jumping all over and happy to be touched and played with. PH was willing to send him to training because we did not feel it was safe for him at that point to be adopted if he was not willing to go to people when they came to meet him."

- Maureen Ray, volunteer at Billerica Animal Control

Allowing Mike to be socialized and trained in a home environment provided everyone with much needed information on his behavior outside of a kennel or shelter environment.

After having Mike in my home for training I was able to send Carol, a potential adopter, additional information on him before she made the drive up from Connecticut.

"Having insight into Max's personality, his likes and dislikes, and what makes him tick, was invaluable to me in bringing Max into my home and making him a great furry companion and member of the family."

Oreo was only about eight months old when she ended up in animal control because her family abandoned her. Shortly after her placement in the pound PoundHounds sponsored her training at Canine Techniques. Oreo was such an amazing addition to the home and was loved by all that met her. She therefore quickly became a foster dog sponsored by PittieLove Rescue. Oreo now lives with her forever family and even has a new buddy to play with every day.
